My Christmas and New Years

I have been so busy lately, it's been a good change for me though. I am doing the reviews and giveaways, as well as hoping to find a program to lose weight with a group of other bloggers. We want to do the weight loss at the same time to help encourage each other as we go along our weight loss journey. I think it will be good to work towards the same goal all together.

I had a nice Christmas, though it was a little crazy. In a blended family you normally split up the holidays and ours was no different. I had my daughters for Christmas morning until the afternoon and my bonus-sons were with us in the afternoon, so we didn't get to celebrate this year with all five together. I did manage to snap a quick photo of all of them together, which honestly was my only Christmas wish. I was so sad thinking they wouldn't be here at the same time, but thankfully the girls were picked up late so it worked in my favor. Here's the picture I snapped:
My oldest daughter is only 11 but she is mistaken all the time for a 16 year old! While my bonus-son in the middle is 16 :) You all have no idea how much this photo means to me, I love it when all my babies are home.

For New Years Eve my sons were with us. It was pretty low key, we were all doing our own thing. I had asked if they would play some board games with me since it is always so much fun to play with them. My 13 year old decided on Monopoly because about two New Years Eves ago we played and he beat us! While we were playing the champ kept having to pay me and his brother for landing on our properties, so he wasn't playing all that well this time. As the game continued they both had me laughing so hard I actually got a headache. It was a lot of fun, we toasted in the New Year with sparkling cider. Here's a photo from our night:
So overall I had a nice time with my children while they were on break. I did get sick for about five days which ended up putting me behind on my reviews and giveaways, so I am still catching up. I really love having this blog and reading the comments that are posted by you all. I intend to make 2012 a year to remember for me and my family, because there were some things in 2011 I would rather not remember :-) Don't forget to come check my blog frequently for new reviews, giveaways and other great things.
