I was given the opportunity to review the SodaStream. If you are not familiar with the
SodaStream let me fill you in a little bit. The SodaStream is a machine that has the ability to carbonate water, no it doesn't have to be special bottled water, just straight tap water if you'd like. The machine itself is easy to put together. All you need to do is insert the CO2 bottle and that's it. Once that part is done you fill the soda bottle the SodaStream includes, with water to the fill line and press the button on top accordingly to add carbonation. Then you add the flavoring of your choice, then you drink! That's it! So simple and with clear directions!
I was in such a hurry to use my SodaStream when it got here. My children were too, but no one was as excited as my husband. He couldn't wait to make soda. Our first soda of choice was
Root Beer because that is my favorite and that was what I wanted. It was ok, we decided to give it another try and the second around was better. I prefer my sodas to be very fizzy, I refuse to drink a soda that is even slightly flat.
We went on to try just about every flavor that was sent to us. Some we were not too fond of like the flavored waters and the diet sodas but others were so yummy. I really like
Cranberry-Raspberry, which honestly I thought I would not like because I don't like the taste of cranberry but this flavor is good! My daughter that doesn't like sodas except for clear ones actually loved the Orange flavored soda.
The SodaStream has been not only fun but
better for the environment. No more soda cans, two liter bottles or twenty ounce soda bottles. The cost of a SodaStream soda is cheaper then the cost of a soda bought at the store. It just makes more sense to use the SodaStream then to continue purchasing twelve packs or bottle of sodas.
