I am so happy to share my experience using Elmer's Painters Paint Markers. I started my DIY craft project by shopping at local Walmart. They were pretty easy to find in the craft area. The individual markers are sold in a slotted box, here is what it looked like at my Walmart.
The Elmer's Painters Paint Markers are sold for $1.97 each, which is a great deal! I had time picking the perfect colors for my craft project. But decided on a fine point silver, and medium point purple, blue, red and black. The silver marker rolled out of the picture, I guess it was shy!
Now the craft project I choose to do was a picture frame with a picture of my children for my Mom. Her birthday is tomorrow and she loves getting pictures of her grandchildren. So I grabbed the supplies that I would need for this simple craft and started.
The first thing I needed to do was pop out the glass from the picture frame and see if the mat fits.
When it was time to put the picture inside the frame there was a gap. I knew the solution was to grab my Elmer's glue and make sure the picture would stay put.
Once the picture was in place and the mat was set inside I had to then decide on what I wanted to put on the mat. So I grabbed all my Elmer's Painters Paint Markers.
I chose to do a practice run on the scrap paper that came with the frame. I think it's best to plan, that way you can decide what you like before you make it permanent.
I was finally ready to get to work and make sure I wrote straight and that everything would fit like it did in the practice run.
As you can see I used the saying "Grandma's are Mom's with extra frosting!"
Here is the finished craft project.
This was a simple but fun DIY project that anyone can do. Using the Elmer's Painters Paint Markers made the words stand out so much more than a regular marker. Here is one last close up of the finished craft project.
