SKM Artworks - Kula for Karma Necklace Review

It's no surprise that I love jewelry, I have said it over and over in my postings. I like to create my own pieces, buy pieces and of course wear them! It makes my heart smile when I see a jewelry maker make a piece that can benefit others in need. That's what Susan from SKM artworks does, she creates a piece and when it sells she donates to the organization the piece was created for. Susan started SKM artworks in 2010 with a mission to create wearable art and to help charities. With the help of her team, she has been able to do just that. I was given a Kula for Karma necklace called Ignite™ for review. It really is a beautiful piece of art.
The Ignite™ necklace is made of black Irish waxed linen and hand-woven sterling silver beads with a sterling silver lotus flower pendant. My necklace is 18inches and since you can choose the stone that dangles in the pendant, I picked black because most of my wardrobe is black.
If you prefer a more distinguished necklace they also make the Ignite™-Onyx in 34inches long. This necklace is made using the same black Irish waxed linen but instead if sterling silver beads, there are onyx beads and one bali bead.
The fact that the Ignite™ necklace sales help the nonprofit organization Kula for Karma. This nonprofit organization helps provides therapeutic yoga, mediation instruction and stress support services, at no charge to those in need. Those that suffer from an illness, addiction or abuse are helped. That is a beautiful reason to create and donate. I will continue to wear my lovely piece, it is such a interesting necklace, you can see the detail in the weaving and almost feel the love that went into making it. If you are interested in purchasing a piece of jewelry, Susan has been so kind to give my readers a 20% discount just use the code "SKMmoxie" here is the website link SKM artworks website.
