Surveillance cameras

Thanks for the guest post by Donn Schroeder

I was watching the news tonight and saw a story about a few cities that have surveillance cameras installed around the city. One of the cities is very close to ours. The news story explained that many people who live in that city are upset about the cameras because they feel that the cameras invade their privacy. I think that the cameras are a great idea to keep crime under control. In fact, I think it is ridiculous that people are worried about the cameras invading their privacy. If people are worried about the cameras recording them in public, they probably should not be doing whatever they are doing in public anyway. I have been thinking about getting a home security system from www.homesecuritysystems.com for our home, and seeing that story on the news supported my thoughts on the topic. Our city’s crime rate is pretty low, but there have been a few break-ins around town recently. I think that a home security system would make me feel safer, especially when I am at home alone.

You'll have Fun Clipping Pictures at Clipix.com

When I first heard about the site Clipix.com I wasn't sure if it was a website I would enjoy. I wondered if it would take a long time to clip a picture to post on my clipboards or would there be a difficult time to get my content to even show up on my clipboards? I was pleasantly surprised just how easy it is to use clipix! You sign up which takes all of a minute or two, then it tells you in the beginning how to add your clip button to your tool bar, and there is no downloading! How cool is that!?!
I had so much fun clipping pictures that I really am looking forward to pressing my clip button every time I see something I want to remember and go back to. I usually bookmark pages but then forget why I did so then I end up deleting my bookmarks, but with Clipix you are clipping the photo and a short description so you'll know exactly why you are clipping the photo or content.
I wanted to show you all just how easy it was to use my clip button by showing you a picture of my clipboards. Here they are:
    Clipix Photo
I have added a Clipix.com button on my blog so you can easily find the site because I know you will enjoy using the clipboards. I chose to do nails & nail polish, recipes, general and great shoes for my clipboards. I will eventually add more boards as I go along. If you open a Clipix.com account feel free to leave me a comment to tell me just how much you enjoy using the clipboards, why you're using Clipix and if you'd like to be friends on clipix, that way we can use the Syncboards! In the Syncboards we can all clip items that we all can see in real time. And now you can use Clipix on your iPhone using the Clipix app.

    Thank Goodness It's Friday!

I am so happy it's Friday but at the same time I am not. I am still not 100%, right now I feel like I have the stomach flu, but I am trying not to let it get to me, on the plus side I think I have lost a few pounds since my jeans were loose, YAY! I am praying, wishing and hoping I will be able to get a laptop sometime very, very soon! I miss writing and interacting with my blog and my blogging buddies.

I will be adding some new reviews and some giveaways this next week, so make sure you keep an eye out for those! I also will be writing a review on a new website that I think you all should check out!! I want to say thank you to my readers that have stuck with me through some of my absences and welcome to my new readers. I am not sure if I should use the word followers, does it sound degrading to you? Or I am just thinking too much into it?

Well I hope you all have a great weekend and I will be around as much as I can be!

    Pambra's Review

When I was a young girl wearing a bra never bothered me much. It wasn't until I was pregnant with my first child that bra's started to irritate and hurt after a full day of wearing one. I had gone up two cup sizes, not to mention going up in the size around too! And now after three daughters I hate to wear a bra. I only wear one if I have to, which usually means when I am leaving the house, or someone is coming over. I had never heard of a bra liner until I heard about Pambra's Bra Liners, I know that sounds silly, but honestly I had never heard of one.
So when I received my bra liners, which come in packs of three, I was so ecstatic to try one. They come in sizes small to 2X, and in three different colors. I chose the white but I hope to order the black in the future. Putting one on was simple especially since I watched the  how-to video. Pambra's Bra Liner is like a light pillow under your bra, I never felt uncomfortable having it there. I actually forget that it is there. And now wearing my bra has become easier to handle. Since I am plus size the under-wire tends to dig into me so having the Pambra's Bra Liner there prevented that from happening too. Pambra's has liners for those who have had a mastectomy and also carries tummy liners.
My mom received Pambra's Bra Liners as well and she had a little difficulty putting hers on, I believe it was because she ordered hers in a size too large. She is suppose to try one of mine but has not as of today. I am not going to give up on her just yet! I know once she feels how comfortable these are she will want to wear it all the time as well!

To learn more about Pambra's Bra and Tummy Liners, or to purchase your own, you can visit their site at Pambras.com, or "Like" them on Facebook and follow the on Twitter. Pambra's also has their own blog at http://pambras.blogspot.com/. Thank you Pambra's for making such a great product!

My Travel Phone - Guest Post

    Staying Connected Overseas

I do consider myself as a savvy traveler who find himself regularly abroad on business, including France, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. I pretty much have multiple projects in various stages of my business, which typically means I have to frequently check my mails, make phone calls, text business partners, and surf the web with my mobile phone overseas. Precisely, I can’t afford to be out of touch for much more than a few hours. And not being in touch with my peers, family and clients can be even more costly.

But I have heard somewhere that it's not that complicated to stay in touch from abroad - on the cheap - if you know how best to use the technology available to you these days. So, I’ve made a lot of effort into figuring out the technology available for being reachable by phone and e-mail without taking a toll on my budget. Trust me; it can be a pricey affair to run up a thousand-dollar bill on your cell phone in a single trip if you don’t know the benefits of using the smart technology- buying an International SIM Card.

With smart phones and newer technology, it's no exception to stay in touch with cell phones when traveling out of the country. There are many reputed companies that have emerged for the best International SIM card offers. Since the international number was given to me before I even resumed my journey, it allowed me to distribute that particular number to my friends, family and business partners so they all can stay in touch with me, whenever required. Really, these several telecommunication giants have made it easy for globetrotters like me to stay connected while moving abroad.

Julia Connor - About the Author:

Julia works with an international SIM card provider and helps customers take massive savings of up to 85% on international call charges and receive international roaming calls on the go for free. MyTravelPhone.net offers Travel SIM Card solution and   International SIM Card  which significantly help reduce mobile phone charges
    when traveling abroad.

    Say Hello Diamonds

You know the saying "Diamonds are a girls best friend", I can see how that saying is true if you are a girl with lots of money otherwise diamonds are just something you dream of. With my budget which is next to nothing, my saying is "Say Hello Diamonds are my best friend"! Unless you are some sort of diamond specialist you cannot tell these are not the real deal!
I was so excited when I was contacted to review the Pantina earrings by SayHelloDiamonds.com. These are the same earrings that were featured on the Today Show on the Jill's Steals and Deal segment. These replica diamonds are put through rigorous testing to ensure quality pieces of jewelry. The Pantina earrings I received were two carats a piece and they have such a beautiful, clear sparkle. All three of my daughters want to wear these, but I am not willing to chance them losing one! Here is a photo of my earrings, again my camera is not great, they definitely look better in person.
I cannot stop at the earrings because they have some of the most gorgeous pieces of jewelry I have ever seen. I absolutely love their new collection called the Cruise Collection. There is the Sugar Stacks ring, the Bella necklace and I really like the Amour bracelet! The have so many wonderful pieces it's too hard to pick one as my absolute "favorite" but there are some pieces that I had to share with you.

SayHelloDiamonds.com has been incredibly generous to offer a pair of Pantina earrings to giveaway to one very lucky winner!

    HolyClothing Review

I have always enjoyed a long, flowing skirt or dress. The way the bottom of the skirt or dress will move with every step. I was fortunate to be asked to review an item from HolyClothing.com. I could choose any item of clothing and I was immediately drawn to the Isabella Mega Flared Renaissance Gypsy Boho Medieval Full Skirt. I refer to it as my Isabella skirt, I love the style of the skirt and also that it shares my youngest daughters name.
I tried several times to take a picture that would show the great details in this skirt, above was one of the best I had. The Isabella skirt comes in a variety of colors and is embroidered with satin inlays at the hem and crocheted inlays above the hem. Those details are what adds allure and elegance. I will share with you the professional photos courtesy of HolyClothing.com. You can clearly see the gorgeously handmade Isabella skirt here:
HolyClothing.com is a family run business and it is ran with strong values. They carry clothing that is renaissance, gypsy, boho and peasant styles that are all handmade. There are dresses, shirts, pants and skirts all of which are made with butter soft premium quality Viscose, which is similar in feel to cotton. They not only carry regular sizes but plus sizes as well.
To look at more stunning pieces you can visit HolyClothing.com. You can also follow HolyClothing on Facebook and Twitter

    Flirty Apron Review & Giveaway

*This review and giveaway is from Mom Does Reviews.

    Cutest Apron Ever!

    The Product

The Women's Original apron from Flirty Aprons is a feminine, yet durable apron that you will enjoy over and over again. The double-layer thickness protects from spills and messes, and the apron comes in many different patterns and colors. The Original apron has long ties so you can tie it in the back or front, and it is made to fit women of all sizes. Sassy, fun, cute and even sexy

    My Review

I was so excited when my package arrived from Flirty Aprons. While I'm not much of an apron-wearer, I sure need one. I am a messy cook and could use some splatter protection and fun in the kitchen. Since the word Apron makes me feel like I'm a kitchen mom, I like to call it my fabulous kitchen accessory, or FKA for short. My Pink Chocolate FKA arrived and I put it to use the same day. My husband thought I looked cute. My son couldn't wait to have his little girlfriends over so they could try it on. (Now that he's nine, he's too cool to wear girly stuff so I couldn't get him to even try it.) I love the pockets and frilly, girly pattern. It makes cooking fun! My Pink Chocolate FKA (Fabulous Kitchen Accessory) is:
    • Sassy
    • Fun
    • Cute
    • Sexy
    • Practical
    • Well-made. I love the double layers
    • Handy (it has 2 front pockets)
    • Fits the "real woman" not just model size
The only thing I didn't care for was the tie at the neck. I would have loved to be able to just slip it over my head and go. But, I can leave it tied all the time, so it's really not an issue.

    The Giveaway:

One lucky winner will get to choose a FKA ($35 value) of their own! You can pick from: Pink Chocolate, Blue Chocolate, Frosted Cupcake, Chic Pink, or Scarlet Blossom apron.
Giveaway is open to US residents only. Giveaway starts at 9pm 2/14.
Enter on the easy Rafflecopter below. Only 13 Mandatory Entries. Lots more optional entries. Please try to follow us with Linky Follows, as it is a new tool to replace GFC. Thanks and good luck!

Oransi Robby Wash Ball Review & Giveaway

For years I have switched from one detergent to the next and then back to the beginning again. I learned that after using the same detergent it seem to lose the ability to clean our clothing, so I would switch in hopes that it would work. Plus we were a lot of dark clothing, I am not fond of lighter clothes on myself or my younger children because of stains that will show very easily. I was so excited to try the Oransi Robby Wash Ball. Now that I have had it for a couple of weeks I am excited to tell all about it!

First off the Robby Wash Ball that I received was a fuchsia one which means it is for cooler water and darker clothing. Perfect for our family. I didn't have high expectations, I mean how clean could a little ball really get our clothes? Well it actually DID clean our clothes and I have had no problems with our clothing still having a stain on them! All that power in one little Robby Wash Ball! Ten ounces of Robby Wash Ball replaces 75 pounds of traditional laundry detergent! That's is 75 POUNDS not ounces!! That is at least a years worth of washing, which the Robby Wash Ball pellets inside it last for 12 months. There is also the blue wash ball that is meant for higher temperatures and can work for both dark and light clothing.

There are so many benefits from using the Robby Wash Ball. The costs is $32.95 for a wash ball, stain stick and three packets of macro-molecule pellet refills. The wash ball will save more than $100 over 120 washes, that means the ball has paid for itself within the first month.  Not to mention that the Robby Wash Ball is eco-friendly and hypoallergenic. The actual ball itself can be used for two to three years, there are refills available on their website.

I am happy to host a giveaway for an Oransi Robby Wash Ball! One lucky reader will win a wash ball of Oransi's choice. Entries will be checked so please make sure to enter correctly.

    * I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Mom Blog Society. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. (http://momblogsociety.com)

Nordic Naturals- Ultimate Omega D3 Review

As a young mom I know how important it is to be healthy, but it doesn't mean I am, as many of us moms are busy that we tend to put our needs aside. I learned the hard way that taking care of my body is not only important for me but so that I am around for my children. I now have a slew of medical problems and I wonder if I had taken better care would I be in this predicament now? Fortunately I am able to control some of my health issues with medications, vitamins and supplements.

I was given the opportunity to try the Nordic Naturals- Ultimate Omega D3, they are soft gels with a hint of lemon. This is a supplement that has more benefits then you could ever imagine! Omega's are fatty acids that are found in certain foods, they are the good fats. There are numerous benefits to having these "good fats" in your body including reducing the risk of stroke, heart disease, high blood pressure, ADHD, joint pain and depression. The omega's are also good for your skin, hair and nails. The two main omegas are EPA and DHA, I have posted the supplement facts here:

Being able to get all the essential omegas is incredibly difficult with the way today's way of eating. A lot of us choose convenience over healthy, but fortunately there are products like Nordic Naturals- Ultimate Omega D3 to help keep our bodies healthy. Not only does this great supplement carry the vital omegas but also vitamin D3, which is important for our bone health. We should all know that healthy bones mean less likely to develop osteoporosis. But did you know low vitamin D3 levels can also contribute to depression, back pain, cancer and prenatal problems? That is why I feel so strongly about the benefits of taking the Nordic Naturals- Ultimate Omega D3. Nordic Naturals carries other great products and more information on omega research that can be found on their website.

Now onto some cool news, Nordic Naturals is running a contest called, What’s Essential™. You can enter to win a trip to California and many other awesome prizes along with the trip. I entered even though I live in California already because there are so many cool things to do here and also one of the prizes is a years worth of Nordic Naturals. You can enter the contest here at Nordic Naturals What's Essential contest. Don't forget to read the contest rules.  The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) on January 1, 2012 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on April 30, 2012.   You can also find Nordic Naturals on Facebook and Twitter

*Nordic Naturals has given me this product to review. I was not given the product in exchange for a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Dapper Snappers Big Kids Belt Review and Giveaway

Sponsored by Tomoson.com I was given the opportunity to review the Dapper Snappers kids belt. The belts are retro styles at affordable prices! There are different types of belts that they carry, I received the Big Kids Girls Belt for my 6 year old daughter. The buckle for the Big Kids Belts for girls is a interlocking loops, also known as the "Bottle Opener" buckle. Which you can see here:
As you can see I chose the black, because as most women know black is suppose to go with everything. My daughter also preferred the black belt, she is a little fashionista after all! The Big Kids Belts have a few choices in solid colors or you can get the "Flower Power" for girls or the "Robots" for boys. The belt was slightly big but that was not a worry since it is easily adjustable. My daughter was even able to adjust it herself. The Big Kids Belts for boys has a different buckle it is a magnetic clasp. Here is another photo of her wearing the Dapper Snappers Big Kids Belt:
The Dapper Snappers also carries a toddler belt that is different then the Big Kids belts. The toddlers variety of styles as well as the adult's belt can be seen on the Dapper Snappers website. If you would like to purchase a Dapper Snapper belt there is a 15% off code that is good only until February 29,2012, here is the code BKBBR201201. Dapper Snapper has also been kind enough to offer a $25 Gift Certificate for 1 lucky winner! You can enter below using the Rafflecopter.

*I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

It's been a rough couple weeks...

I haven't been posting many personal posts lately for a couple of reasons. One I have been so busy when I did have time to sit at the computer with following through with my obligations to my reviews. And second I have been so sick lately. I had called to make a doctor appointment because I knew I was not getting better on my own. I had to wait a week to be seen. Finally after almost three weeks of being very ill, I found out I have bronchitis. Which at 30 years old I have never had in my life, at least not that I know of. Last week and earlier this week was probably the hardest for me. But I am now on my way to a speedy recovery with the help of two antibiotics. So I want to apologize to any company that is waiting on my review, I promise to have it done as soon as I can. I just know not to overexert myself. Enough about that.

I have many more reviews of great products soon and of course the giveaways :) Thank you to all that have been following my blog since the beginning, I really appreciate every one of you and I am working to bring more giveaways for all of you! Flat Iron Experts- Curling Iron Review

Last month I was given the opportunity to review a Karmin G3 Pro flat iron from the FlatIronExperts.com which I enjoy using so much! This month I was sent a Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron, it is an inch and a half barrel. I have never used such a large curling iron before, but I managed.

I was also sent a can of White Sands Infinity Finishing Hair Spray, this hair spray works wonders! I was able to add body without the clumpy mess some regular hair sprays tend to do. I love this hair spray!
Since my hair is not very long I was not able to do those beautiful long curls, but I was able to add some curl and body. I hope to grow my hair long but it seems like it reaches a certain length and stops. I just absolutely adore those long curls that I see all over the place these days. I did not take another before because my hair has not changed at all since my last before picture taken. So here is the before, how my hair is without styling:
Then I used the wonderful White Sands Infinity Hair Spray and my new Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron. It wasn't like I had to style my hair for an hour, it took less than thirty minutes to get it to what I wanted. Here is my after pictures:
I really enjoyed using my Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron. The curling iron went from cold to hot in about a minute, so quick heating is a feature that actually works. The barrel was smooth, so there was not any snagging of my hair. The same great qualities of using tourmaline-ceramic apply to the curling iron as they did to the flat iron. The tourmaline-ceramic offers less damage to the hair, and helps preserve moisture in the hair. Thanks again to FlatIronExperts.com for this wonderful opportunity to try more of their great products they offer. I look forward to using my Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron for many, many years.

Pepsi and Popcorn Superbowl Shoppertunity #CBias #PepsivsCoke

I was given an awesome shoppertunity to grab Pepsi and Orville Redenbacher popcorn to create a recipe using the popcorn as either a snack or a craft. I like to make crafts a lot, one of my best friends always jokes that I am Martha Stewart, which I take as a compliment. This time I decided to be creative in making a snack using not one of Orville Redenbacher popcorn's but two. So I started out on my shoppertunity with a great snack recipe in mind.
My shopping trip was with my mom, she is my number one best friend and we pretty much do everything together. I shared my snack recipe with her and she was excited to shop for the ingredients but even more excited to try it! You can read all about my Pepsi and Popcorn Shoppertunity on my Google+ photo story.
    Here is my recipe:

1 Bag of Classic Recipe Orville Redenbacher popcorn
1 Bag of Caramel Orville Redenbacher popcorn
½ Can of Toffee Covered Peanuts
½ Bag of Pretzels (stick or whatever kind you prefer)
1 Medium to Large Bag of Plain M&M's (you can use Peanut M&M's also)

You need to make the Caramel popcorn exactly as the directions state on the box, if the bowl is too warm it will melt the M&M's. Once the Caramel popcorn has cooled add the Classic Recipe and mix together, again make sure the Caramel popcorn has cooled so that you have two separate popcorn's not all Caramel popcorn. Then add the pretzels, toffee covered peanuts and the plain M&M's. Make sure to mix together but not too much otherwise all the toffee covered peanuts and M&M's will fall to the bottom.

I forgot to take photo's of the step by step process of making this recipe but it is such a simple recipe there wasn't much to see. I did snap a photo of the finished product.
We really enjoyed eating my snack recipe and drinking our Pepsi products. I grew up as a Pepsi brat, my Mom's drank Pepsi everyday and you wouldn't dare drink her last bit of Pepsi. And my Aunt Susi can tell you of a story of when I was just a toddler and would rat her out for giving me Pepsi. I just really love an ice cold Pepsi nothing comes close to taking those first few drinks and having that crisp taste and the burn of the carbonation going down your throat. Coke doesn't even come close to having that same great taste! During the #PepsivsCoke Twitter Party I made it very clear that I was and always will be #TeamPepsi! Thanks Collective Bias for this shoppertunity, I enjoyed it immensely!
