When I think of Good Life moment I think back to having my first child. I was just a teenager, driving around in a tiny 2-door car, preparing for my life to change drastically. I was not sure what to expect, since I was still a teenager it wasn't like a lot of my friends were having children already. I think I was about three months pregnant when things started to go "downhill". I had broken up with the father of my baby, I was having issues at work and just when I thought things couldn't get worse, my car started having problems. I remember being about six months pregnant and my car died in the turn lane of a very busy intersection, I ended up having to push it.
Even though I was pregnant, that day I had found the strength to push my car. Just as I started to get it moving good, a few men jumped out of their cars to help. That day helped me realize that accepting help from Good Hands helps to make a Good Life! That's the same way a lot of customers feel about Allstate Good Life. I still feel lucky that those few good men jump out in the middle of that busy intersection. That day I was doubting mankind, I thought even though it was clear that I was pregnant that no one was going to help me, but I was wrong. It actually was nice to be wrong in this situation!
Many years later while thinking of those men's courage and willingness to jump out to help, made me realize that I should been willing to do the same. Now if I see a mom or dad pushing their car, I jump out to help, which before I never would have done. It has also helped my children to see that if I am willing to help, then they should be willing to as well. It is amazing to me that one day would change my life so profoundly and make me see humanity in a whole different way.
