Making an easy meal to enjoy with my family is important to me, fortunately I was able to do that in this post that is sponsored by Collective Bias. Cooking doesn't come naturally for me, so if I can find things that make preparing dinner a lot easier then I am willing to try them. I went to Save Mart Supermarket to pick up some ingredients to make a pasta dinner. You can see my entire shopping experience here.

Even though I am not the greatest cook, I like to satisfy even the pickiest eaters in my family. After reading through these fresh finds, I decided to try making a marinara pasta and an alfredo pasta. So I picked up Pacific Coast Selections pasta sauces and their refrigerated pastas, and got to cooking!

The Pacific Coast Selections pasta sauces came in easy to open 13 ounce containers. The Marinara was a tomato sauce with fine herbs, making it full of flavor. The Alfredo is a rich and creamy sauce.

Since cooking is not my forte I like that I could buy some already made pastas that just need some sauce and maybe another special ingredient. Since the Tricolor Five Cheese Tortellini doesn't have a meat included I decided to cook some chicken and add it to the pasta.

The Meat & Fine Herb Ravioli paired with the Marinara sauce was incredibly simple to make. I was actually surprised at how easy it was, now I know I can make this dish any time.

Both dishes came out spectacular and I have to give some credit to my sister-in-law Vanessa, she helped me make this meal for the family. I was so thrilled to hear that they liked the pasta sauces, of course some liked one pasta more than another but overall the meal was a great success! Here is the Meat & Fine Herb Ravioli with Marinara sauce dish.

And here is Tricolor Five Cheese Tortellini with Chicken & Alfredo sauce.

I loved making these pastas and now I know even if you're not the best cook making a delicious meal is still possible.Below are both of the recipes I used for my pasta meals. Meat & Fine Herb Ravioli with Marinara sauce

1- Pacific Coast Selections Meat & Fine Herb Ravioli refrigerated pasta packages
1- 13 ounce container of Pacific Coast Selections Marinara sauce
-Cheese of Your Choice for Topping or Mix-In
*Parmesan, Romano & Asiago are suggested

Cook the Meat & Fine Herb pasta exactly as directed on the package. While the pasta is boiling, heat the Marinara sauce in a pot or pan. Adding the pasta to hot pasta sauce will keep the pasta from cooling too much. It can also prevent the pasta from sticking together. Once the pasta has been prepared, you can either top your pasta with grated cheese or mix the cheese in to add some more flavor. Serve with a side of your choice and enjoy!

Tricolor Five Cheese Tortellini with Chicken & Alfredo sauce

1- Pacific Coast Selections Tricolor Five Cheese Tortellini refrigerated pasta packages
1- 13 ounce container of Pacific Coast Selections Alfredo sauce
2- Chicken breast, cut into small strips or cubed
-Cheese of Your Choice for Topping or Mix-In
*Parmesan, Romano & Asiago are suggested

Prepare the chicken first by cutting it up and cooking it. While chicken is browning, begin cooking the Tricolor Five Cheese Tortellini pasta exactly as directed. While the pasta is boiling, heat the Alfredo sauce in a pot or pan. Adding the pasta to hot pasta sauce will keep the pasta from cooling too much. It can also prevent the pasta from sticking together. After adding the pasta, start adding in the chicken. If there doesn't seem to be enough alfredo sauce you can add a couple spoonfuls of the pasta water, not too much though. Now that your pasta is finished, you can either top your pasta with grated cheese or mix the cheese in to add some more flavor. Serve with a side of your choice and enjoy!
