What Are You Wearing This Summer?

The summer months are a time to hit the beach, get a tan and enjoy the warm weather before it starts to snow again. If you are going to enjoy the outdoors during the warm season, it is important that you wear clothing that is both comfortable and functional.
Watch Out for the Sun

You want to be sure that you are protecting yourself from sunburn and the skin damage that can come from having burned skin. While you don't need to wrap yourself up in a shawl while at the beach or at a family picnic, you want to make sure that you are covering up the most sensitive parts of your body. If you burn easily, you will also want to have enough sunscreen to keep yourself protected during prolonged periods of outdoor activity.

Keep Something on Your Feet

Although the sand may feel nice under your feet, you don't know what else could be lurking. When you go to a public beach, there is a chance that you could step on broken glass or other debris that could lead to a skin wound. If you have an open wound, you will need to get it treated right away to ensure that it doesn't lead to an infection. Having sandals or sneakers on whenever you are walking around will protect your feet from debris.
Hats Can Keep the Sun Out of Your Eyes

You should never look directly into the sun as it could cause blindness. However, on a sunny day, you may not be able to control how much of the sun's rays head in your direction. Wearing a hat can keep your head shaded and reduce your body temperature as well as keep you from looking right into the sun. Hats can be purchased cheaply and sunglasses can be purchased at most beaches or other outdoor locations.

Before your next outdoor trip, you can go online to purchase Fair Winds Sarongs or other clothing that makes you look and feel good while outdoors. When you are properly clothed, you can enjoy your time outside without worrying about any long-term health issues.
