Picking the Perfect Sock to Express Your Personality

You’ve seen them online and in some clothing stores: outrageously abstract print socks in über bubbly colors. “Are these socks for me?” you wonder, “Could I pull these off?” Obviously, the choice is yours, but taking a closer look at how a given print may work with your existing wardrobe is a good idea. You don’t want to be tragically behind the times from eyebrows to shins and totally with the times from the ankles down. To keep this kind of apparel snafu at bay, you have to know what’s hip across more than one kind of personality type and industry. You may traipse around freely in pink polka dot socks if you work for a company with a liberal culture or if you own your own business. If you work for a buttoned-up establishment, sticking with navy blue and black solids are probably your best bet—at least Monday through Friday.
